Sakhi Sajni

An exhibition to facilitate discussions around life skills for/with adolescent girls

Sakhi Sajni, a 31-series poster exhibition seeks to bring about a dialogue and discussion around issues related to adolescent girls and life skills.

The exhibition is an outcome of our work with groups of out-of-school adolescent girls from urban slums. Drawing from the experiences of the groups themselves, the exhibition seeks to raise questions on the lost opportunities for growth and development of girls. The 31 posters examines different stages in the life of the girl-child as she edges her way ahead, compromising on her rightful share of opportunities.

Facilitators working with groups have found the posters in the exhibition a very useful tool to initiate dialogue with adults and children. The exhibition has so far traveled across various geographical communities through workshops, seminars, community based events and campaigns. For further details about the exhibition please get in touch with us at our contact numbers.
